  • What makes this shot interesting is the fact that it never happened.... The agency wanted a pit road action shot of the Visteon car, the problem was I was not able to get the shot at the brickyard race when the car ran. So I went to the MIS race and shot another team members car the Dodge/Moutain Dew crew RED #19. Then I retouched in, using photoshop, the whole image changing the car by adding a new skin, changing their uniforms, helmets, shoes, knee protection, wheels, crew chief stand, adding a banner on the wall so many things to come up with the shot.

  • Photo was taken in restorer's paint room, The set-up - 2 norman p2000D power packs with LH2000 heads bounced into a 109" white seamless curved in front of the car, white fabric laid in down if front of the bumper, black roofing paper placed under and around car. Horesman 4x5 with 120mm NikonSW lens , kodak E100s film.
